New Covenant Christian School (NCCS)

What makes NCCS a Christian school?

NCCS is unique in its approach to education. The school culture is Christian. The values taught are based not on cutting-edge research, or popular culture, but on the timeless teachings of Jesus Christ. The teachers seek to guide the children in recognizing their value as chosen, and beloved. They help the children learn to recognize God’s love for them and respond with love for others. This includes learning to love God and love his creation- whether that creation is a neighbor, a parent, a friend, or the environment.

You might recognize some familiar elements at NCCS. The mornings begin with prayer and the weekly memory verse is posted. Each day ends with a general assembly and Bible teaching. On Wednesdays, the students gather for Chapel. They sing worship songs in both English and Runyankore (the local language) and have a children’s service.`

Why does Hope 4 The Children Support Christian Education?

To make a big splash, to have an instant impact on a community, dig a well. Christian education in Nangala is a slow-growth investment. At New Covenant Christian School in Nangala, the students learn that they are loved, precious, and chosen and that families are to be honored and neighbors are to be loved. They learn about sin and forgiveness and about a life lived in the light of those concepts.

Grounded on a Biblical foundation, the curriculum offers opportunities for the children to access academics. The school is a source of learning English -one of 2 of Uganda's official languages. There is nowhere else for them to access this learning given their poverty. The NCCS tuition is on a sliding scale. No family will be turned away. ( fees are $35 a year.) Reading, Writing, Math, problem-solving, hygiene, and social skills are blended with the knowledge of God's truth. Truths that open many doors of opportunities. The door is open for you as well. We invite you to join us in transforming the life of a child, a family, a community ... the world. Would you be interested in opening a door of love and possibility to children in Southwestern Uganda?

The New Covenant Christian School encompasses a compound of approximately 6 acres, comprising an operational Kindergarten School with three classes - Baby class, Middle class, and Top class, alongside a P1-7 elementary school. The school currently has classes in operation from P1-6, and the P7 classroom is slated for construction in a separate building that will also house a school administration office. The project entails the construction of a semi-modern lavatory building, a church, teacher housing, a kitchen building, and a playground. Additionally, all classrooms have access to electric lights and outlets, thanks to the recently introduced electricity supply in Nangala.
