The kitchen is a building where the food used to feed the teaching staff is stored and prepared. The money spent to feed the teaching staff is a significant cost to our ministry. The current kitchen barely protects the food that is stored there from the elements and from insects and rodents. The existing kitchen has a dirt floor and the cooking fire is an open fire on the ground and the smoke exits through holes and cracks in the log siding and the roof. Hope 4 The Children have plans to construct a proper kitchen with masonry walls and floor. The kitchen will include a solid door with a lock and a fireplace for cooking with a chimney that vents out of the building and storage shelves where the food is kept safe and dry.
